What is included

A free, no-obligation written quote. Someone comes out, looks at your actual system and site, and gives you a fixed price in writing. Not a phone estimate that changes on the day.

Low-interest financing, subject to approval. Spread the cost of the upgrade rather than finding it all at once. Useful when a system fails without warning, and equally useful when you want to move from a cheap-to-buy system to a cheap-to-run one.

Federal STC rebate processed for you. On eligible heat pump and solar systems, Small-scale Technology Certificates typically take $800 to $1,500 or more off the price. We create and claim the certificates so the discount is already in the number you are quoted. There is no separate WA state rebate, so this is the one that matters here.

Free old tank removal and recycling. Included on every installation, as always. No skip, no disposal line item.

Compliance certificate on completion. Every install is done by licensed plumbers, and licensed gas fitters where gas is involved, to WA requirements including AS/NZS 3500.4.

Why upgrade rather than replace like for like

The default move when a hot water system dies is to put the same thing back. It is the quickest decision and usually the cheapest on the day. It is often not the cheapest over the next decade.

Water heating accounts for roughly 25% of a typical Australian household’s energy bill. That is not a rounding error, it is the second biggest line after heating and cooling in most homes. The gap between the least efficient and most efficient way of doing that same job is enormous.

The systems at the bottom of that table cost more upfront and dramatically less to run. That upfront gap is exactly what financing is for, and after the STC rebate the gap is smaller than most people expect.

Who this offer suits best

Anyone running an electric storage tank over eight years old. You are at the point where a failure is plausible in the next couple of winters, and you are paying the highest running cost in the meantime. This is the clearest upgrade case there is.

Homes with rooftop PV. A heat pump timed to run during your generation window means most of the electricity it uses is your own. That combination is genuinely close to free hot water for most of the year.

Homes with good north-facing roof space. If your roof is not already full of panels, solar hot water performs exceptionally well in Perth’s sun hours.

Anyone whose system is already showing warning signs. Rusty water, running out faster than it used to, damp ground underneath, or a pilot light that needs relighting. Planning the replacement beats being forced into it.

Larger households facing a capacity problem. If you are already running out of hot water every morning, the upgrade solves a daily irritation as well as a future breakdown.
